I have heard it said that at Christmas and birthdays you dont need to buy babies toys, instead just wrap up some cardboard boxes and they will be as happy as Larry! I didn't really accept this - why would toys'r'us be so successful if parents can trick their kids with empty boxes?
But it seems that the rumours could be true, over the weekend we bought Scarlett an expensive new toy
which indeed she has enjoyed for a few minutes each day.
However, whats been bugging her, like an itch that needs to be scratched, is an overwhelming desire to dive headfirst into her laundry basket. She wiggles and squirms until she gets her own way and is plonked in the basket, et voila - she is as happy as larry!
