Seems that Brit 'n Kev have just welcomed the arrival of their little darling. Its been reported that Spears junior was delivered by C Section, putting Britney in the gang of "too posh to push" celebs! Turns out that she had chatted to her mum about labour and delivery and her mum told her that childbirth was just the most excruciating pain ever. (Britney has a younger sister so presumably Mrs Spears went for a section the second time or managed to forget about the pain).
Perhaps Britney and Kevin werent able to join a prenatal class in Santa Monica, but if she had perhaps she would have been more positive going in to the birth experience. Instead she talked to her mother. Now, as mums to be, its inevitable that we chat to those close to us find out the gory details and to hear about the pain, but in my opinion whilst this was all valuable information, since everybody's tolerance for pain is unique and personal, then every childbirth experience will be different.
I was, in a strange masochistic way, looking forward to the pain of giving birth, the intensity of the experience. So when I was encouraged to have an elective C section because my daughter stubbornly refused to budge from breech presentation i was gutted, although the desire for a safe delivery of my child was of course the overriding emotion.
Without knowing all the facts, i feel sad for Britney that she didnt feel ready to face up to the experience of a natural delivery.......... but on the other hand, I would rather push out large headed twins than sing and dance onstage in front of hundreds of thousands. I'm certain Britney has had enough life experiences to last a lifetime, so the fact that she missed out on this one is probably no biggie! Just hope that Britney's surgeon made the incision low enough so as not to interfere with those ultra low riders that she favours!
This is Scarlett just after her arrival by C section
