Yesterday, to mark her first six months, we took Scarlett to the childrens photography studio for her first photo shoot. She's certainly not camera shy, in the "nude baby" section of the shoot, she was supposed to play with her toes in a cute and endearing way, instead she wilfully insisted, despite the poor photographers desperate insistance, to pose legs akimbo on the black velvet mat in the manner of a mini porn star! Scarlett signalled her intention to end that part of the session by peeing on the black mat.
After we soothed her with canapes and champagne (actually apple juice and a clean nappy), we moved swiftly to the final shot of the day.
The final set up had Scarlett posing as an Angel, sitting on a cloud and sporting super duper feathery wings, needless to say by then more than a little overtired, Scarlett found the feathers on the wings far too fluffy and distracting and no inducements would get her to smile for the camera.
We go to view the proofs next week, I suspect we will be sending a rather grumpy and bored looking angel on our photo christmas cards this year!
